Things were supposed to calm down...

But since I love complaining, and I know you guys have enough of this, all I will say is that they didn't!

Mainly it's school's keeping me busy...

But there's another reason too.

I got this idea, some time ago, that I need more animals in my house. So I bought rodents, which I've never taken care of before.
Actually I bought one rodent - a degu (if you're interested you can learn about them here: Degu Guide), but it turned out they need company so they don't get bored and depressed so I bought him a friend from totally different place and called them Merry and Pippin. However, since it's very hard to distinguish their sex, after less than a month Merry was a mother! (but now I know Pippin is NOT a father so it appears they sold me a pregnant female degu instead of a male).

And now I'm busy being a grandmother and taking care of my young family! Taking them to the vet, building their cage, teaching them not to bite me...

But even though they're a bit noisy at night and move so fast I can't catch them when I let them out, it's a wonderful experience, you know? Watching them grow, eat, run in the wheel or look after each other (degus are social and both parents take care of the babies)...

And it's a great excuse not to do my homework.

Oh how I hope I'll manage to keep up with the new art upadates someday...

They look a lot like gerbils!

Harhar. I've been wanting to get a gerbil for the past week and almost did but mom said nooo but I have five rats and she loves them so EH?

I also want to buy a hand full of mice. I have the cage. Hahaa. I'm THE RODENT QUEEN.

Oh you really are!

My best friend had a rat. They're very smart, aren't they? And degus are at least as smart. They learn very fast and even react to their names and commands.

You keep them all in your room?

Yeah, rats are considered smart and very social. So are micey. Yeah, degus do what rats do. XD Heehee. Yeah, I keep 'em all in my room. I have one cage on my dresser my two girls are in [Tokito Minoru -she's like a pepper color like brown with speckles, etc.- and Kubota Makoto -mostly black with splotches of white-] and on my bookcase, is the three boys. Ukoku Sanzo [he's mostly black with a white spot or two], Ban Mido [white with a black head and maybe a black spot or two] and Hazel Glosse [gray with like maybe a dot of white].

It's sad Tokito has a tumor. ._. I hope she makes it. The number one cause of death in rodents is cancer. -_-

I have this other cage. It's a lot like a two story birdcage. It's cheap and filmsy, but it works. I want to put mice in it. Mom said no, but "maybe next time." So next time we go, i'm gonna try to get me some mices. I'll end up putting them on my little shelf thingy on wheels.

Ohh...so that's what those are called. I've seen them on tv before, don't think I saw a real one before.
Little rodents like that are so horny they keep having babies. Your family will grow really big soon. Have fun
